EDIT: I had not even started writing this post and it posted...
It seems unnecessary to loudly declare the version number whenever the app is open. Those red bubbles are for notifications or alerts. Not to permanently show the version number. Imagine if every app did this. That'd be awful.
Is there a way to disable this? Is there a setting I have enabled by mistake?
