What I would really like is a command that would shut off the "snap to" until I want it back. Sometimes I'm trying to make subtle changes in my work, but I have to have one finger on the command key to disable the snap while I'm trying to mess around with my mouse.
Is there some reason snap to is the default? Wouldn't it be better to have it as an option? It has never been an advantage to me in my work, always just an irritation.
